this is one of those rods that rarely come up and when they’re gone it haunts you .. Russ Peak made rods to fish with., not just rest in their tubes or hang on someone’s wall ..
this rod is the typical deep rich brown., but that makes the handwriting hard to read., but it can be read under a bright light .. this “Zenith” was built in 1968 and reads 6oz .. I have cast this rod and a modern 9wt loads the rod nicely and is butter compared to today’s faster rod actions ..
there are signs of use., but it’s almost 60 years old ! it is a rod that would hit nicely into anyone’s collection., but needs to be used to be really appreciated ..
